Pallet cars are used to transport iron ore pellets into the pelletizing furnace. They face many problems due to the pressure and impact caused by pellets falling on them, very high temperature changes inside the furnace, the presence of various chemical oxidants and corrosives, the heavy weight of the pallet cars, friction and sudden shakes during the cooking process which are mainly caused due to suddenly stop of the production line. Those defects created in pallet cars cause a huge financial loss to the steel industry every year.
